Job Description
The Banquet Supervisor (Captain) oversees banquet operations, including room set-up, service, and clean-up for banquet functions. This role is responsible for maintaining banquet equipment, ensuring function spaces are visually appealing, and supporting the presentation of food and beverage offerings for events.
Requirements
Supervise banquet set-up, service execution, and event breakdowns
Ensure banquet rooms and event spaces are properly prepared according to event orders and standards
Oversee banquet colleagues during events to ensure efficient and professional service
Assist with food and beverage presentation, buffet displays, and beverage service standards
Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of banquet areas and equipment
Monitor room refreshes and event transitions throughout service periods
Communicate effectively with culinary, event planning, and hotel operations teams
Assist with training and coaching banquet colleagues as needed
Address guest concerns and provide prompt service recovery when necessary
Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards
