Role Overview

The Basic Scientist Assistant 2 will focus on high-level scientific research and development, investigative experiments, data analysis, and formal data presentation. This position may include managing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory and its personnel. The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center strives to provide outstanding medical care, train gastroenterology clinicians and researchers, and perform cutting-edge biomedical research.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will perform laboratory experiments, devise research methods, analyze data, and interpret and present results with minimal faculty supervision. They will also design experiments, implement and standardize new processes and procedures, maintain detailed documentation, and write formal scientific reports.
