Job Description
The Iowa Beef Center at Iowa State University is seeking a Beef Field Specialist to support northwest Iowa. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the cattle industry, strong relationship-building abilities, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The position will involve delivering research-based educational programming for cattle producers in northwest Iowa, promoting engagement and education for all Iowans, and providing programmatic oversight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Master’s degree in Animal Science or closely related field
  • Experience and/or knowledge of beef cattle industry
  • Experience developing and delivering research‐based or technical education programming; preferably related to beef cattle industry
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and evaluating program impact
  • Experience with revenue generation, program sponsorship, and resource administration
