Role OverviewThe Youth Development Program Site Director is responsible for the administration, leadership, and operation of a YMCA School-Age Program site. This role ensures all programming aligns with YMCA values, meets licensing requirements, supports youth development, and fosters strong relationships with children, families, staff, schools, and the community.
What You Will Do
Oversee daily operations of the site, design and implement lesson plans, monitor program quality, recruit and supervise staff and volunteers, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a child-related field preferred.
- Meet qualifications to be a staff member in charge (SMIC)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of youth development practices and child behavior management.
- CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire.
- Must complete state-mandated training (MODS) within 12 months.
- Florida Director Credential preferred.
- Must meet YMCA of the Suncoast driving criteria.
- Lifeguard & Listen First certification preferred (if applicable).
