Role OverviewThe Adult Education Hourly Teacher develops and presents lessons to students, evaluates student progress, and maintains a proper classroom control and learning environment. The teacher assists in curriculum development and participates in program and district meetings. The role requires treating students with courtesy and respect, demonstrating an awareness of student needs, and promoting community responsibility among students.
What You Will Do
Develops and presents lessons that demonstrate and preparation which are consistent with the approved course of study. Evaluates student progress based primarily on achievement of performance objectives/competencies. Uses a variety of instructional techniques and materials which are appropriate to the course and to adult students.
