Job Description
The Granite YMCA is hiring a Behavior Support Specialist to support staff in managing child behavior and providing a safe environment for children in the YMCA of Downtown Manchester location.

Requirements

  • Support training and coaching of teachers on behavior management strategies
  • Continually implement and role model appropriate behavior management strategies
  • Supervise children who need support due to elevated challenges in social-emotional wellbeing
  • Provide a physically and psychologically safe environment and atmosphere for children
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with other staff utilizing positive communication strategies
  • Continually model and teach character development and Y core value qualities
