Role OverviewThe Behavioral Health Consultant will work to support the mission and vision of Neighborhood Healthcare by providing direct patient care for behavioral health services. This role will meet with individuals and families to provide brief behavioral psychotherapy services to patients and consultations primary care providers using an integrated care model.
What You Will Do
Provides short term targeted psychotherapy for problems identified by primary care providers, performs initial and ongoing behavioral health assessment, and evaluates patients to identify social, emotional, and economic factors which may interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care.

This is a hybrid position that requires a Doctorate degree in Psychology or a Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling with a valid California license. The ideal candidate will have two years of pre/post licensure psychotherapy experience with children, adults, and/or adolescents, and experience providing health psychotherapy services.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree in Psychology with a valid California Psychologist License
- Master's degree in Social Work with a valid California Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) License
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a valid California Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) License
- Master's degree in Counseling with a valid California Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Two years of pre/post licensure psychotherapy experience with children, adults, and/or adolescents
- Experience providing health psychotherapy services, such as smoking cessation, weight management, stress management, or work with chronically medically ill patients
