Role OverviewAs a Behavioral Health Mentor, you will provide relief to Foster caregivers and support activities that align with The Village Network's Mission, Vision & Values. You will support and provide temporary relief for caregivers for 3-5 hours at least once per month, and engage with client family members. You will also present in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions.
What You Will Do
Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting client's efforts toward treatment goals, role modeling and teaching appropriate skills and behaviors, implementing the 6 R's strategies, utilizing Collaborative Problem Solving, and assisting with crisis de-escalation as needed.
Why It Might Be a Fit
To be a good fit for this role, you will need to have 2+ years of experience working with youth, a High School Diploma, and a valid Ohio Driver's License. You will also need to be able to work with a diverse population, use a computer, and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
