Role OverviewThe Behavioral Health Specialist provides care management services and short-term psychotherapy to patients with behavioral health needs. They collaborate with Care Teams and a psychiatric consultant to assess patient needs, make referrals, and provide counseling and evidence-based treatments. This role has the potential for remote work days based on achievement and maintenance of program metrics.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with primary care teams to identify patients for referral, screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance use disorders, develop care plans, and provide short-term counseling and evidence-based treatments.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has a Master's degree in mental health counseling or a related field, a clinical license (LISWCP, LPC, or LMFT), and experience with screening and treatment planning. They should be familiar with brief, structured intervention techniques and have a working knowledge of differential diagnoses.
