Job Description
Role Overview

Assesses, determines, and coordinates placement of all BMH admissions and transfers in accordance with clinical standards and guidelines. Ensures patients are placed in clinically appropriate level of care via established algorithms and protocols. Upholds standards of system wide customer service program.

What You Will Do

Performs the nursing process while providing indirect patient care in a safe and effective manner that promotes quality patient outcomes. Functions as member of interdisciplinary healthcare team. Performs an initial discharge planning evaluation or Emergency Department assessment for patients.

Must have 5 years of RN experience with 2 years of experience in critical care or emergency nursing with advanced clinical assessment skills. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Previous experience in psychiatric or behavioral health, Previous Case Management experience, Experience in a medical inpatient/emergency department setting working with pediatric and adolescent patient populations, Experience with behavioral mental health (BMH) facilities and placement procedures.

Requirements

  • 5 years of RN experience
