Role OverviewAssist in developing responses to students requiring behavior intervention, ensuring safety and dignity of students and staff. Work in a school environment, assisting staff with techniques and implementing behavioral programs.
What You Will Do
Collect data, assist with Functional Behavior Assessments, develop and implement behavioral programs, and assist staff with techniques. Monitor data and share recommendations with staff. Monitor and supervise students in need of behavioral intervention.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must have experience working with behaviorally complex children, physical stamina, and ability to implement behavior management strategies. Must also have computer skills and attend training in Positive Behavioral Supports and De-escalation strategies.
Requirements
- Standard high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with behaviorally complex children
- Must have physical stamina and ability to work with behaviorally complex students
- Computer skills as required for the position
