Role OverviewThe Beltline Arboretum Trail Specialist will perform all functions of the Gardener position and assume additional responsibilities. The role involves assisting in training gardeners, upholding quality standards, and conducting walkthroughs to maintain and uphold quality standards in assigned sections. The position requires a strong work ethic, initiative, and confidence, as well as the ability to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with other team members.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Beltline Arboretum Trail Specialist include assisting in training gardeners, providing feedback on priorities for punch lists during walkthroughs, conducting occasional walkthroughs to maintain and uphold quality standards, leading groups of volunteers on maintenance projects, and performing occasional inspection reports on Beltline corridor sections and assets.

Requirements
- Interest and passion for trees, plants (specifically native plants), and/or urban ecology and horticulture
- Minimum of one year of experience working in a public garden
- Experience with supervising volunteers, interns, or employees desired
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and confidence
- Occasional flexibility to work on an evening or weekend
- Willingness to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with other team members
