Job Description
Benefits Specialists support the administration of public employee benefit programs for the Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF). These roles may be member-facing or operational support, depending on assignment.
Requirements
Ability to analyze records and determine benefit eligibility
Skill in understanding and communicating complex benefit information
Strong customer service skills (phone, written, and in-person)
Ability to interpret WI Statutes, Administrative Code, and ETF policies
Ability to provide accurate information while maintaining confidentiality
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with diverse audiences
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database/software applications
Ability to use case management, CRM, and benefit processing systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn and apply complex program rules
Positive attitude, adaptability, and professional presence
