Role OverviewAs a Benefits Specialist at HDR, you will be responsible for administering leave of absences, ensuring compliance with state and federal leave laws, and processing payments for short-term disability. You will also be responsible for tracking FMLA usage, answering benefit-related questions, and troubleshooting employee coverage. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between insurance carriers and employees or office HR representatives, process invoices, and conduct audits. You will also be involved in administering global benefit programs, including Open Enrollment and Paid Time Away programs.

Requirements
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business or closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years of related benefits experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and utilize company information management systems
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Capability of effective planning and priority setting
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical skills
- Thorough knowledge of plan designs
- Ability to understand, evaluate and judge standard claims for benefit program(s)
- Knowledge of benefits contract language
- Basic knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements
