Role Overview

The Bilingual Front Office Assistant serves as the first point of contact, providing exceptional customer service to patients and visitors. They are responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, and maintaining accurate patient medical records. The role requires effective communication skills, ability to work independently, and positive teamwork.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include greeting and serving patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, and maintaining patient medical records. The role also involves educating patients on the sliding fee scale discounts, obtaining signed release forms, and participating in the daily huddle.

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of medical terminology
  • Skills in using a computer, copier/scanner/fax, calculator, and other office machines
  • Ability to use an electronic health record program
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently using reasonable judgment
