Bilingual Human Services Specialist V (8035)

Requirements

• Determine eligibility for all County Safety Net programs.
• Complete clearances including SVES, MABS, Worker Number, and Prison Clearance.
• Upload and scan clearance and supporting documents into ECMS and EICM systems.
• Review 992 Alerts and contact customers to obtain required documentation and verifications.
• Track work activities using Excel spreadsheets and other systems as required by the County.
• Complete HIPAA, ISATP, and Sexual Harassment trainings.
• Interview and determine eligibility for county safety net programs administered by the Family Investment Administration of the Maryland Department of Human Services.
• Complete and process applications for public benefit programs, and maintain open cases to ensure benefits are accurately issued, continued, or terminated in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and other meetings or seminars as assigned.
• Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team within the division and organization.
