Job Description
ATHENA Consulting is an award-winning staffing firm serving state and local governments. As a Bilingual Human Services Specialist V, you will provide excellent customer service, assist clients with applications and referrals, and maintain confidentiality of client information. The position is funded through 06/30/2026 with potential for renewal and requires a bachelor's degree and one year of applicable human services experience.

Requirements

  • Language proficiency in English, Spanish, and/or other languages
  • Strong knowledge of DHHS and community resources
  • Proficiency with technology and software systems (MDTHINK Eligibility & Enrollment, email, Office 365, MCG Portal, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Clear verbal, written, and listening communication abilities
  • Dependable and punctual attendance
  • Experience with diverse populations
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Intermediate–advanced Microsoft Office skills
