Job Description
Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Bilingual SPED Teacher to work on the Southwest Side. The ideal candidate will have a valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the role. They will be responsible for instructing and tracking the progress of students with special needs, as well as working collaboratively with case managers, counselors, and general education teachers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
  • Valid teaching license issued by the Illinois State Board of Education, with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the role
  • Physical ability to perform light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, or up to 10 pounds of force frequently
