Role OverviewUnder the supervision of the school principal, responsible for instruction, specialized services, and support to students in developing their ability to perform courses of study in the English language. Responsible for instructional planning, administering tests, assessing students' progress, and maintaining accurate records of students' achievements.
What You Will Do
Teaching, lesson planning, testing, and record-keeping for students in a bilingual program. Developing and delivering lesson plans, utilizing instructional techniques to enable limited English proficient students to overcome barriers. Establishing positive learning expectation standards and evaluating students' progress.

Must possess the appropriate Illinois State Board of Education issued educator license with a bilingual endorsement in the grade level being taught. Must have knowledge of subject matter, contemporary principles of teaching, and classroom management techniques.
Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and all coursework required to obtain the appropriate teaching license(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Illinois State Board of Education issued educator license with a bilingual endorsement in the grade level being taught.
- Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements, contemporary principles and practices of teaching, and classroom and behavior management techniques.
