Role OverviewUT Southwestern Medical Center seeks a Billing Specialist III to perform advanced level billing responsibilities in the Revenue Cycle Department. The role supports the division of Nephrology and requires a high degree of organization and accuracy.
What You Will Do
The Billing Specialist III will analyze and resolve coding edits, perform abstracting, and reconcile charges. They will also serve as a resource to the FERC Team Leads and perform manual charge entry.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of medical billing or collections experience and demonstrate the ability to work complex E&M services and procedures. They will also have strong knowledge of carrier regulations and internal revenue cycle coding processes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years medical billing or collections experience
- Coding certifications (CPC, CPMA, CMC, ART, RRA, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA) and/or degrees (associate level, bachelor level, master level) preferred
