Role OverviewResponsible for obtaining accurate and detailed information concerning insurance and self-pay reimbursement on all patient accounts. Request and process all bills to third party payors and patients, maximizing reimbursement of services provided to achieve established hospital goals.
What You Will Do
Accurate and timely data entry of charges, payments, adjustments and other transactions to patient accounts. Follow up with insurance companies on billing submitted to allow for effective and efficient cash flow of hospital receivables.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Three years of business office experience, preferably in a hospital or medical office. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional college course work preferred.
