Role Overview

The Life Sciences Specialist will work independently and asynchronously to vet the quality of life sciences knowledge work tasks and model outputs, write high-quality instruction specs, and design challenging life sciences tasks and evaluation sets.

What You Will Do

The main day-to-day responsibilities include identifying missing behaviors, thin reasoning, and unsupported causal claims, translating tacit scientific judgment into explicit, teachable criteria, and collaborating with client researchers to maintain consistent standards.

Requirements

  • PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, or related fields
  • 4+ years of substantive research experience at a recognized institution
  • Specialization in areas like molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, genetics, or neuroscience
  • Seniority with roles such as Senior Scientist or Principal Investigator
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications, ideally first-author work
  • Hands-on use of large language models in professional work
  • Commitment to 40 hours/week for 6 months
  • Reside in the Bay Area, California, with on-site work as required
