Role Overview

The Biological Scientist III will work independently, using standard operating procedures, to perform analysis of food using laboratory methods in a timely manner. The position requires verification and interpretation of analytical results, as well as collaboration with the supervisor, staff, and laboratory quality manager to ensure quality assurance and improvement.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will perform technical review of data for peers, make decisions on work problems, and work on eliminating problems with the section. They will also participate in cross-cutting laboratory issues, plan and develop new methods, and maintain personal expertise in analytical procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in general biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or cellular and molecular biology
  • Two (2) years of related professional experience
  • Master's degree (6 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in general biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or cellular and molecular biology and one (1) year of related professional experience
  • Doctorate (8 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in general biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or cellular and molecular biology
