Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET/Clinical Engineering Technician)

The Biomedical Equipment Technician performs preventive, predictive, scheduled, and corrective maintenance on a wide variety of biomedical and clinical equipment throughout the hospital. This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and performing electrical safety testing on medical equipment to ensure safe operation, regulatory compliance, and optimal equipment performance.

Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on biomedical equipment, troubleshoot and repair medical equipment, conduct electrical safety testing and performance verification, and maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on Biomedical Equipment Technician or Clinical Engineering experience
• Associate degree from an accredited institution
• Recent hospital or healthcare biomedical equipment experience
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and facilities teams
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
