Role Overview

The Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) will provide support for a government customer in Dayton, OH at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. The BMET will maintain and repair medical equipment, including preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance/repair, installation/de-installation, safety and compliance, and documentation and reporting.

What You Will Do

The BMET will test and calibrate components, keep records of maintenance and repair, assess and evaluate the condition of in-use medical equipment, inspect and test malfunctioning medical and related equipment, and perform preventive maintenance or service.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of biomedical equipment technician experience, including demonstrated experience in all tasks, and possess a wide range of specialized methods, principles, and techniques of electronics and complex medical system failures.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in biomedical Equipment Technology or Engineering
  • At least two years of biomedical equipment technician experience
  • Demonstrated experience in all tasks in PWS 1.2
  • Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license
  • Steel/composite toed boots meeting or exceeding ANSI/ISEA standards
  • Ability to pass a color vision test
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Cloud based suite of productivity apps
