Role OverviewThe Biosolids Lift Station Technician participates in the safe, effective, and compliant operation of the City's Wastewater Lift Stations and Biosolids Farm operation by completing preventative, diagnostic, and emergency asset maintenance. This position may also assist with beneficial reuse of biosolids produced at the City's Wastewater Treatment Plant by the safe handling and land application of biosolids as needed.
What You Will Do
Performs maintenance activities at all city lift stations, grinder pump stations, facility/station grounds, and Biosolids Farm. Operates and troubleshoots Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA) assets. Assists with performing routing visual/diagnostic checks, inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repair for various common wastewater treatment plant, lift station, Biosolids Farm equipment and machinery assets.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ability to be on-call, certification as Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator, Class I or above, issued by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, or the ability to obtain certification within 18 months of employment.

- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license
