Role OverviewAn entry-level Blast Resistant Structural Engineer position is available in our San Antonio or Houston, Texas office. The successful candidate will require a BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred). The role involves designing and evaluating structures exposed to extreme loading conditions such as blast, thermal, and high-velocity impacts. The candidate will work in a collaborative environment with other technical disciplines to develop solutions to manage hazards and risks.
What You Will Do
Perform specific tasks as assigned by project managers of limited scope, including nonlinear blast response analysis, detailed structural design and design concept development, preparation of design specifications, research/accident investigation support, structural drawing development and review, and reviewing numerical calculations.

Requirements
- BS in Civil/Structural Engineering (MS preferred)
- Experience with developing Structural Drawing packages (plans, elevations, details)
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Willingness to travel 25%-30% of the time
