Job Description
MoMA PS1 is seeking a Board and Government Relations Associate to manage key relationships across the museum’s nonprofit Board and public stakeholders, ensuring high-level governance and the successful pursuit of public support. The role involves government relations, board governance, and administrative support.
Requirements
At least two years of work experience in nonprofit administration, government affairs, or public policy.
Strategic and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to navigate complex political environments and manage strict compliance deadlines.
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex policy or institutional information for public audiences.
Ability to work independently, execute at a high level, and adapt to a fast-paced environment, while balancing individual priorities with a collaborative approach to shared decision-making and responsibility.
Exceptional judgment, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive situations and matters.
Ability to participate in events during evenings and weekends.
Passion for and understanding of PS1’s mission and program and the contemporary art ecosystem.
Ability to speak one of the top five (5) languages spoken in Queens, NY (Spanish, Chinese, Bengali, Korean, Russian) is an asset.
