Job Description
Boilermaker constructs, assembles, maintains, and repairs stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Required to perform duties such as examining boilers for defects, inspecting assembled vessels, and repairing or replacing defective pressure vessel parts.

Requirements

  • Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects
  • Inspect assembled vessels or individual components
  • Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts
  • Attach rigging and signal crane or hoist operators to lift heavy frame and plate sections
  • Lay out plate, sheet steel, or other heavy metal and locate and mark bending and cutting lines
