Job Description
Boilermaker job involves constructing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing boiler fittings, cleaning boilers and boiler furnaces, and assisting in testing assembled vessels.

Requirements

  • Examine boilers to locate defects
  • Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together
  • Repair or replace defective pressure vessel parts
  • Attach rigging and signal crane or hoist operators to lift heavy frame and plate sections
  • Study blueprints to determine locations, relationships, or dimensions of parts
