Role Overview

Leadman provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in a work crew, assisting the Foreman while working as a journeyman. Assembles, analyzes, and repairs boilers, tanks, vats, and pressure vessels according to blueprints and specifications.

What You Will Do

Locates and marks reference points, attaches rigging, aligns structures, hammers, flame-cuts, files, grinds, bolts, and welds to assemble boiler frame, tanks, or vats. Performs minor maintenance, installs manholes, handholds, valves, gauges, and feed water connection. Assists in testing assembled vessels and repairs boilers or tanks in the field.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or a related area. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field is necessary. Work involves standing, walking, lifting, and climbing, with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
