Job Description
Locates and marks reference points, attaches rigging, aligns structures, and bolts or arc-welds sections together. Performs minor maintenance and cleaning activities, installs manholes and valves, and assists in testing assembled vessels.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of geometry
  • Ability to use master straight edge, squares, transit, and measuring tape
  • Ability to use plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles
  • Ability to use hammers, flame-cutters, files, and grinders
  • Ability to use arc-welding equipment
  • Ability to use wrenches
  • Ability to signal crane operator
  • Ability to assist in testing assembled vessels
