Role OverviewThe Office of Finance is looking for a dedicated Accountant (Bond Accountant 2) who will prepare schedules to support financial statement numbers for assigned bond series, prepare financial statements for assigned bond series, and maintain database for trustee extract files & transactions.
What You Will Do
The Bond Accountant 2 will prepare reports used by the group, such as the month end reports from US Bank, investment & bond balance totals, remarketing & liquidity contract information, and pay disbursements related to bond issues, Single-Family expenses & preparing trustee & banking partner letters for investment purchases.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of & experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting, proficiency in Excel, and skills in critical thinking, detail oriented & organization.
Requirements
- 36 months training or 36 months experience in accounting.
- OR completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or public administration; AND 12 months training or 12 months experience in accounting.
- OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
