Job Description
The New York City Police Department is seeking a qualified Bookkeeper I to assist with Department operations at the Property Clerk Division, Bronx Office. This position focuses on financial recordkeeping, calculations, and data compilation related to evidence, found property, and related items. Candidates must meet eligibility criteria and possess relevant experience (30 credits in accounting or 2 years of full-time bookkeeping experience).

Requirements

  • Completion of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university, accredited by regional, national, professional, or specialized agencies.
  • Six credits in accounting.
  • Two years of satisfactory full-time bookkeeping experience, or 6 semester credits in accounting.
  • Satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to 1 or 2 above.
