Borough Certification Manager/Senior Planner

The Borough Certification Manager/Senior Planner will oversee the division's application pipeline, including internal process management, data quality, and tool development. The role will also involve reviewing and analyzing land use applications, coordinating with technical divisions, and representing the department at meetings. The selected candidate will work closely with central divisions and maintain knowledge of DCP Standard Operating Procedures. The role requires collaboration, creativity, and professional development. What You Will Do

The selected candidate will be responsible for application pipeline management, including oversight of ZAP records, monitoring incoming project initiation materials, and providing recommendations for process improvements. As a Senior Planner, the candidate will review and analyze land use applications, coordinate with technical divisions, and represent the department at meetings. The role will also involve creating and organizing graphic and written materials for presentations and serving as a DCP liaison to community boards.

Requirements

• A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• Two years of satisfactory full-time experience in city planning
• Graduate education in city planning, urban planning, urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, transportation engineering, public administration, economic development or related fields may be substituted for experience
• Assignment Level III: one additional year of professional experience
• Assignment Level IV: two additional years of professional experience
