Job Description
The Borough Chief of Family Court within the NYC Law Department's Family Court Division is seeking a dynamic leader to manage the legal, strategic, and operational functions of the Brooklyn borough office. This role involves supervising staff, fostering interagency collaboration, and implementing policies focused on protecting communities and strengthening families through the juvenile justice system. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of experience in juvenile justice, criminal law, and court management.

Requirements

  • Serve as the chief legal, strategic, and policy advisor to the borough and Division leadership.
  • Supervise overall borough operations, including management of attorneys and legal support staff.
  • Develop and implement legal and administrative policies at the borough and Division-wide level.
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence in courtrooms and offices.
  • Analyze and utilize data to guide management decisions.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to Division leadership.
