Role OverviewThe Driver is responsible for operating a box truck to pick up donated items, including small furniture, household goods, clothing, and other miscellaneous items, from donors. This position requires excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with donors, as well as the ability to safely lift and load heavy items onto the vehicle.
What You Will Do
Safely operate a box truck following all traffic rules and regulations. Load and unload donated items into and out of the pickup vehicle safely. Maintain accurate records of all donations, including donor information, item descriptions, and quantities.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle records check
- Proven ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations applicable to large commercial vehicles
- Ability to work independently and adhere to a set schedule
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry it for short distances
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, including box trucks and compactors
- Visual acuity to read road signs, maps, and operating instructions
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating truck controls and handling bags and boxes
- Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while operating equipment and lifting heavy objects
