Role Overview

The Bridge Construction and Field Support Engineer will work in the Bridge Division – Construction and Maintenance Branch to create in-house plans to repair and preserve bridges, provide field construction support, train TxDOT districts to perform in-house repairs, implement innovative solutions to complex problems, and respond to bridge emergencies.

What You Will Do

The Bridge Construction and Field Support Engineer will design bridge repairs, perform structural analysis, develop and review engineering documents, and provide technical support in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS
  • 4-7 years of engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
