Job Description
Role Overview

The Bridge Preservation Engineer will support and lead statewide bridge preservation initiatives, including developing preservation plans and strategies, leading TxDOT's bridge instrumentation and NDE efforts, and managing consultants performing detailed NDE, bridge condition assessments, and coatings inspection services.

What You Will Do

The engineer will perform highly advanced and complex bridge and structural engineering work, including inspections, structural evaluations, and analyses of bridges and related structures, and develop and/or review engineering-related documents, correspondence, reports, and remediation plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science bachelor's or higher degree accepted by TX PELS
  • 5-7 years of engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering experience
  • Mandatory: Safety Impact Certificate
  • Mandatory: Licensed Prof Engineer
