Role OverviewThe Broadcast Network Engineer supports day-to-day productions in the NEP South Florida facility, ensuring accurate and customer-expected services. This role builds and maintains infrastructure for streaming solutions and works closely with other departments to evangelize best practices.

Deliver high-profile milestones, maintain and manage infrastructure/services, roll out new encode solutions, and troubleshoot systems across the country.

Requirements
- Working knowledge of streaming media protocols: HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), DASH, CMAF, RTMP, etc.
- Experience in developing/deploying media streaming services in the cloud.
- Knowledge of media codecs, formats, transports, and container protocols, such as MPEG-2, H.264/AVC, AAC, AC3, MP4, TS, etc.
- Understanding of CDN architectures (caches, origin servers, proxies, etc.).
- Experience working with Closed Captioning standards, DRM, and related technologies.
- Schedule flexibility with the ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
