Job Description
The Sheriff’s Office is seeking a Budget Coordinator to support the Budget and Procurement Division in financial and operational goals. The Budget Coordinator will track expenditures, prepare budget documentation, support procurement functions, process invoices, and communicate with vendors. They will also assist in data gathering and analysis related to property fraud, tax crimes, and other criminal activity.

Requirements

  • Support the Budget and Procurement Manager in maintaining and reconciling Personnel Services (PS) and Other Than Personnel Services (OTPS) budgets.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of budget modifications, financial reports, spending plans, and variance analysis.
  • Process invoices and purchase requisitions, ensuring accuracy and proper coding.
  • Track unit-level and division-wide expenditures to ensure compliance with allocated budget lines.
  • Assist with data gathering and compilation of overtime reports, equipment expenditures, and supply usage.
  • Conduct initial reviews of budget requests and vet requests for completeness and budget alignment.
  • Monitor and follow up on invoice payment status and communicate with vendors.
  • Assist in the preparation of statistical and cost-benefit analysis.
