Role OverviewThis role supports Marten Transport's sales, marketing, and business development initiatives. The Business Development Analyst will partner with employees at all levels of the organization, including executive leadership, to develop professional customer-facing materials, manage strategic projects, support customer onboarding, complete customer RFI/RFP responses, maintain business analytics, support key sales and marketing systems, and drive operational excellence through training and process improvement.
What You Will Do
The Business Development Analyst will create, maintain, and continuously improve sales presentations, marketing materials, customer proposals, and executive presentations. They will also provide administrative support for Marten's CRM, including maintaining data quality, user support, reporting, and basic system administration. Additionally, they will complete customer Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), sustainability questionnaires, security surveys, and other customer documentation.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including professional presentation design
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, charts, and data analysis
- Experience with Canva or similar graphic design/presentation software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
