Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager – Retail Wine, you’ll play a critical role in bringing GALLO’s wine portfolio to life across retail accounts by executing sales strategies that drive growth, revenue, and long-term brand equity. Acting as the primary GALLO representative in your assigned state or states, you’ll partner closely with distributor leadership and sales teams to translate strategic priorities into impactful marketplace execution.

What You Will Do

You’ll balance winery-facing strategy with distributor and field execution, focusing your time and resources on the highest-value opportunities. You’ll assess market dynamics, analyze performance data, and leverage pricing mechanics to make informed recommendations that maximize contribution across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of GALLO Winery sales, marketing, or affiliated or non-affiliated distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality, or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 8 years of GALLO Winery sales, marketing, or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 10 years of wine or spirits sales, marketing, restaurant/hospitality or distributor experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility
