Role OverviewThe Business Development Manager is responsible for mentoring Branch-based Outside Sales Representatives to enhance product sales and customer service to achieve goals and maximize market penetration and margin potential. This position develops and retains an effective Commercial/Retail/Builder sales force capable of increasing product sales.
What You Will Do
Develops and implements specialized or targeted sales strategies, coaches and directs Commercial/Retail/Builder Sales Representatives, trains them with presentation skills, product knowledge, internal procedures, buying group programs, builder programs, and Emser promotions.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience
- Extensive working knowledge of Commercial/Retail/Builder sales
- Five plus years of related sales management experience
- Leads and directs the work of other employees
- Able to foster teamwork
- Able to build collaborative relationships
- Thrives in a competitive and dynamic sales environment
- Highly organized and has a successful history of servicing multiple accounts while consistently achieving and exceeding sales goals
- Able to work independently while simultaneously implementing company defined sales strategies
- Expert in influential / collaborative sales and negotiation techniques, including analytical skills that can identify and exploit key opportunities
- Driven to meet sales goals and enjoy the upside of variable compensation programs that also reward employees for exceeding plan budget
- Instinctively address all customer questions and concerns promptly with business savvy solution / resolution strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel over 50% of the time
