Role OverviewThe Business Manager II - SES is an independent professional financial position responsible for the timely billing and collection of all claims resulting from the long-term care services provided to veterans residing in the State Veterans' Nursing Homes. The position ensures the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs remains in compliance with all State and Federal Billing regulations.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes include managing and supervising the Accountant II position, responsible for the centralized third-party billing activities of State Veterans' Homes Program and the Receptionist position, both full-time and OPS. The position also involves training, support, and back-up of staff, serving as a team leader or team member on various project teams, and coordinating and directing the work of other employees.

Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting or medical billing or related field.
- Proficiency in the use of computer applications; Microsoft Office, Excel and Internet.

- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.

- Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check.
