Role OverviewElderwood is seeking a Business Office Assistant to support the Business Office Coordinator and the daily operations of the business office. The individual will establish and maintain resident accounts, process daily transactions, and perform various administrative tasks.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include updating admission records, preparing cut letters, managing resident personal funds, and completing insurance verification for current residents. The individual will also file and scan documents, replenish cash boxes, and meet with residents and families for short-term admission paperwork.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have compassion and respect for the aging population, a minimum of one year of previous office experience, and a high school diploma with business training. Working knowledge of Medicare A and B, Medicaid, and third-party insurance is preferred, as is experience in a Long Term Care setting.
