Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies and corporate restructurings at a leading law firm. Candidates with broad bankruptcy and restructuring experience representing debtors, creditors, creditors' committees, and third-party purchasers are encouraged to apply.

What You Will Do

Represent corporate debtors, creditors' committees, individual creditors, and third-party purchasers in Chapter 11 bankruptcy and restructuring matters. Advise clients throughout all stages of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies and corporate restructurings at a leading law firm
  • General bankruptcy and restructuring experience representing corporate debtors, creditors' committees, individual creditors, and third-party purchasers
  • Experience working in a corporate restructuring or bankruptcy practice at a comparable law firm is preferred
  • Judicial clerkship experience, particularly with a bankruptcy judge, is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and day-to-day matter workflows
  • Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the New York Bar, or eligibility for admission, required

Benefits

  • Salary range $260,000–$390,000 annually
