Job Description

As a Business Solutions Analyst I, you will work cross-functionally with product owners, development teams, customer stakeholders, and internal business teams to support solution design, documentation, and release readiness. This is a domain-focused role, with a strong preference for candidates who possess direct cattle finishing feed yard operational experience and a working understanding of feed yard business processes, office operations, and customer workflows.

Requirements

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with business partners, product owners, customers, and IT teams
  • Serve as the liaison between business operations and software development teams
  • Support one or more MICRO software products or functional workstreams as assigned
  • Participate in customer-facing discussions to gather workflow, operational, and business requirements
  • Support product owners with business process questions, workflow clarification, and domain knowledge
  • Lead requirements intake and discovery efforts with stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and information gathering sessions
  • Document business processes, workflow diagrams, and current-state / future-state process models
  • Translate business needs into clear problem statements, business requirements, and functional specifications
  • Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and release documentation
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint readiness, and change control processes
  • Manage requirement changes and ensure documentation remains current throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in business case development, research, and data collection as needed
  • Support development teams by clarifying business rules, operational workflows, and domain-specific questions
  • Support QA and testing teams from a business workflow and subject matter expertise perspective
  • Assist in validating that delivered functionality aligns with intended business requirements
  • Support release readiness activities and documentation
  • Assist in customer issue investigation and problem statement development
