Role OverviewThis position is responsible for assisting in designing, implementing, and maintaining wildfire mitigation plans and processes for the Power Grid Operations organization at Duke Energy. The role focuses on deploying processes and procedures within distribution and transmission functions, including wildfire resiliency plans and programs to manage emergencies, protect employees and assets, and ensure business continuity. The position delivers value through the development and deployment of prevention, mitigation and preparedness strategies and plans, and formation of functional teams.
What You Will Do
Coordinate development and maintenance of plans and programs for the Duke Energy Wildfire Mitigation and Response program, including review/revision of program documents on a periodic schedule. Oversee tools and applications used by the wildfire program, including situational awareness tools, operational outlook systems, the fire reporting system, and maintain the PGO Wildfire Mitigation and Response SharePoint site. Lead or support strategic company or jurisdictional initiatives related to wildfire mitigation and collaborate with leadership in Operations, Customer Service, Enterprise Preparedness Services, Legislative and Regulatory Affairs, Meteorology, Asset Management, and other internal organizations.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, Communications or Other Related Degree plus two (2) or more years related work experience, OR High School/GED plus four (4) or more years related work experience (for Business & Tech Consultant)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Technology, Communications or Other Related Degree plus three (3) or more years related work experience, OR High School/GED plus seven (7) or more years related work experience (for Senior Business & Tech Consultant)
