Job Description
Ferguson is seeking a Buyer/Planner to deliver service and inventory goals for a portfolio of vendors and/or warehouses. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working in supply chain planning software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Requirements

  • Develop, purchase, and complete inventory replenishment strategies
  • Manage inventory replenishment settings and make adjustments to deliver targets
  • Ensure planned orders are processing from in line with expectations from inventory settings
  • Investigate and resolve order alignment issues
  • Design, implement, and action alerts that identify exceptional issues impacting service and/or inventory
  • Conduct replenishment data analysis to root cause current and future service failures
  • Collaborate cross functionally with various stakeholders
  • Apply high-level communication skills to proactively connect with large and varied audience
  • Proactively analyze business processes and develop solutions to improve team performance
  • Work with DC fulfillment to flow the product through Ferguson warehouses
  • Monitor rebalancing of assigned inventory to ensure excess inventory is optimized
  • Cancel or expedite orders as necessary to deliver service targets
  • Use planning software to build optimal container and/or truckload orders to suppliers
  • Analyze, report, and act on replenishment planning KPIs
  • Coach and develop associates within and outside of their functional area
